It looks like ISU will be missing quite a few familiar faces from there lineup this weekend.
Max Mayfield has beaten out Nate Carr Jr for the spot at 149.
It appears that Sorenson's elbow injury is too severe and Spangler will get the nod at 165.
Also a good chance that injury will keep Simonson out at HWT and with Gibson not being eligible that would leave Kyle Slifka. While Kyle was a good high school wrestler he has been away from the sport for 4+ years coming into this year.
I think that ISU probably only sends 4 guys to Nationals with Drouin, Spangler, Reader, and Ward. I don't like seeing the program this down and I worry that it's going to stay closer to that level than back in the title race...
Also, Big Z (Gegleov?) the HWT from Okie St is still out and will not compete at the Big 12 tourney and Blake Rosholt will go instead. They do have 4 auto qualifiers at HWT and Rosholt and Slifka should battle for that 4th spot.
