Big 10 Title Game - No Ulcers

A great coach once said to his team preceding a very big game, "The hay's in the barn boys, it's time to go huntin'"!

12-0 is in the books and is Hawkeye history... now everything from here on is NCAA and B1G history...but it is all gravy.

More than ever...I'm determined to immerse myself in this weekend...it's going to be an incredible gathering of Hawkeye fans in INDY. Enjoy the moment!

I was really nervous for the Minn game and an absolute basket case for the nebbie game. Much more relaxed for this one, though the closer to game time, the worse it gets. We, as fans, should be beyond satisfied with the season at this point. The remaining games are for the players, pure and simple. I wish them the best.

BTW, it occurred to me the other day, because I am NOT a big fan of conference championship games in principle, that Iowa would be in past years the undisputed Big Ten Conference champion right now, with a 12-0 record, undefeated in the BT, and in BCS days, probably ranked first or second in the country. Chew on that.

Come Saturday evening that what ever happens feeling will rush out of you body at Kickoff and the anxiety levels will amp up. FACT!! You can't downplay the magnitude of this game!!

Picked up a bottle of Maalox today! You know for just in case.

I was more nervous about the NE game as well because if we lost it would have ended our final 4 chances. Plus, it was a road game and we at least play MSU on a neutral field. Even if we lose this game, we are still going to a great bowl game. If we lost to NE and MSU, who knows what bowl we would have ended up in.

Not nervous for this one. If they win, then big time. Most nervous I've been for an Iowa game was the Orange Bowl in '03. Bad night.

Was a nervous wreck before/during the Indy and Nebby games.

I just want us to compete well and not embarrass ourselves @ Lucas.
