Big 10 Games - Who do we want to win?

I'm with Windsor and PC on this. I'm going to keep hoping teams right below us lose until MSU or Mich lose another game and we're back in the title hunt. I would be thrilled with a 3rd place B1G finish.

Valentine at the point will hurt them so will extended minutes by trice at the point. As long as Harris doesn't go all Yogi Ferrel in think Wisky wins.

Hoping that old Kohl Center magic back....hoping....

I think Izzo will play the underdog card and Payne will take this one over. Trice just has to get the ball up the floor IMO. This Big 10 season...nothing will surprise me in this game.

Let's home the Wisky 3 pt shooters have an Avg to better than Avg game and Harris doesn't go for +20 on 10 shots....

This is the same MICH ST teamed that laid huge egg On road at Georgetown, right?

Minus Appling and add Payne, all American point guard on road is more valuable than 14pt and 8 rebounds, no?

I thought we were favored?

Did we open as the favorites? I just saw it on the front page of Vegas Insider. It says opened as an underdog...thought it had just said favored. Maybe we were favored at the tip but Michigan State opened as the favorite???

I think Payne is more important...but both are very important to their postseason for sure. Forget routing interests. Who do others think will actually win?

Sporty has 3 Assists and 6 TOs in the half, while Payne has managed only 1 rebound, 9 pts, w 2 TO, while only putting up an embarrassing 22 1H points.

Appling > to Sparty than Payne.

(did you see the peckerhead byrd clank that one from the corner)(another ex of IOWAs unluckiness)

I just checked the remaining schedules of Iowa, Mich State, and Michigan. If I had to guess I'd say the Big Ten will finish with Mich State on top, Iowa in 2nd, and either Michigan or Wisconsin in 3rd. Michigan has a brutal stretch coming up. Michigan State only has one tough game remaining, and it's against a reeling Michigan team. Honestly I'd be surprised if Mich State loses another game.

You never know... Maybe Iowa will get some help with an upset or two. If they can manage to finish #2 in the Big Ten that is a damn impressive season, and they'll earn a very high seed. Hopefully they can keep the momentum going from the win yesterday and finish the season strong.

Michigan State struggled with Columbia, Portland State and lost to North Carolina (all at home.) They also lost to a poor Georgetown team and got taken to OT by an okay Minnesota team. I don't get how you can say they have only one tough game remaining when they still play Ohio State, Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan.

I will now be cheering for Ohio State Tuesday night. They can give Michigan their 3rd loss and Michigan State at Michigan could be Michigan's 4th loss. Michigan State ends the season with a home game against Iowa and a road game at Ohio State...potentially losses 3 and 4 if they win the rest. There is still a reasonable path to a piece of the championship.

I know I started this thread with my wish list. Things change day to day in this conference. If Iowa plays their last 7 games with the same defensive intensity and unselfish play on offense as yesterday then they can end the regular season on an 8 game winning streak. If Michigan can start with 8 wins Iowa can end it with 8 wins.

I'm hoping this game is the start of a slow peak to March Madness.

A lot is being made of Iowa being 6-0 after losses. Wins after losses:

Notre Dame
Ark-PB
NW
@NW
@Illinois
Michigan

While each of those wins were good wins (exception of APB), only the last two have any real meaning: breaking the long skid at Illinois and beating a top ten team.

So when Iowa loses in The Madness do they get to play again to keep the streak going?

There will be more Spartan blood shed this yr, if Iowa can hold service @IU @MN, and Wisky, it sets up a possible game @ MSU w title implications....

Lol wow do I feel like a moron. I just realized the Espn schedule I was looking at only showed their remaining games in February. Which explains why I was confused because I swore the Hawks played them again.

Just gonna delete that post to avoid further confusion.
