The point that his parents don't want him at Iowa is correct. Iowa recruiting knows this and there really isn't much more that can be said or done if mom & dad don't want you to go somewhere. Thus, Iowa knows this situation is dead and have basically stopped because it's a futile situation now. Of course, Iowa cannot comment on it but the recruits can say anything, much like the Jim Harbaugh stories of last year. If you think for one moment that the Iowa staff deliberately tried less hard to recruit a consensus 4-star DB who would likely play next season given the piss poor product we're putting on the field this year, you're just misinformed or you're just being intellectually dishonest.

Crazy to think that Alabama originally offered but backed down due to other commitments. Signing 4 and 5 star guys with regularity is just another Tuesday for them. Hard to compete against that level of recruiting. Sure, not all pan out, but the odds are better that just enough do in order to maintain the high level of success on the field, with great consistency.

Seems odd to me that Iowa would offer a player a scholarship prior to talking to his position coach or that a 4 star recruit wouldn't have met and talked with Ferentz on a visit.
