Better seats at Kinnick?

Which seats would have a better view of the game? Endzone watching the game go away or come at you, or sideline (near endzone)? I will be taking my 2 young sons and wife so that probably should be taken into consideration as well.

I don't like being behind the end zone, you don't have any depth perception on the plays. Our seats are on the East Main, even with the goal line, 63 rows up. I like our view, we can see the whole field.

I prefer the sideline seats. We are in section 110, row 50 something. Can see the field well and have good depth perception. In the endzone you lose that, in my opinion anyway. If you go with the sideline seats, I would look to be at least 30-40 rows up, even higher is fine. If you are too low you lose the line of sight on your sideline at the far end of the field.

Agree with Igothawked that you actually may prefer to be higher. Like I mentioned, we are row 63 and its fine. If you're low, then plays at the far end zone give you the depth perception problem.

I am in the corner (NE) ... Love the view. You can really see things open up. I think the only "bad" seats in Kinnick would be in the endzones ... and even those aren't horrible. The good thing about Kinnick is there really is not a bad seat in the house.

Best spot starts at the 50 and gets worse the farther away from the 50 you get. Sidelines are therefore better than end zone.

I enjoy watching offensive line play, so the endzone seats (where we have been for 15 years) are our choice. Yes, you can't see endzone plays are the other endzone, but you get a good view of play from nearly field level.

having been on the 50 or near the 50, not sure. if you can be 25-35, it gives you great viewing of at least one of the endzones, and doesn't put you in that bad of a spot for the other endzone. being on the 50 gives you 'adequate' viewing of either endzones.

i wouldn't want to sit in the endzone - if possible, get at least a little angle for depth perception.

I liked my North endzone seats for this reason. I loved watching the holes open up. hard to see depth true, but I usually have the radio on and they can tell me that.

There is a reason football tickets generally cost more as you get closer to the 50 and cost less (than the stadium per ticket average) for end zone seats.

I have sidelines, but sat in the north endzone last year for the Michigan game. we were 12 rows up and it was awesome. the stands are pretty steep so it feels like you're right on top of the field. I'd sit there again in a heartbeat.

You're kids are going to have a blast wherever you sit. If you got 20-25 yard line, and about 40 rows up, you'd not complain one bit.

I agree with too low not being good.

Agree with too low! There is no such thing as too high a row in Kinnick. Anything 35 and below is "too low" to me. I sit in a row near the mid 50's and if someone said you have to move either up 10 rows or down, I would chose up 10 and be in the 60's for sure. Groovy!

I've been sitting in the south endZone for 5+ years. I love it! You see the field open up well (especially kick offs). Plus some of the td's come your way. I have some wonderful memories of spectacular scores coming right into "my" endZone.

Everyone has a personal preference. The higher you are, you can see plays develop. However, obviously, you are further away from the field.

The lower you are, the atmosphere is great. Low rows allow you to experience the game a bit differently. When the action is on your side of the field, you have a tremendous view. When the action is on the other side of the field, you will likely be looking at the big screen.

I wouldn't want season tickets in Row 1. But I do enjoy sitting there occasionally to get a different view.
