I'm sure there are some real good ones. The statute of limitations has passed on mine.
Northwestern....about 1982. Flew to Chicago in a 4 seat Piper, got the rental car and headed to Evanston and checked in to the hotel. Started as a typical fall Saturday during football season....drinking by 9AM, I think there was some white powder at some point. 1 PM kickoff. Game went as most did in those days, Hayden Fry teams winning 52-7 or something like that. From there it was off to Rush Street for the evening. At some point late...about midnight, I got seperated from the others in our party. I had the keys to the rental car but could not for the life of me find the car. Walked around for about 2 hours checking every brown Mercury Zephyer I saw until I finally found ours. Lucky I didn't get rolled. Not sure how, but found the hotel. So happy to get to the room, didnt even turn the light on and got into bed. Next morning, the sheets and me were a mess...brown sticky substance everywhere. Thought I crapped myself. Then I found the little tin foil wrapper. The hotel was the type that opened the bed for you and put chocolates on the pillow.
Also had some exciting trips to Madison, Minneapolis, Champaign, Bloomington but now I always check the bed for chocolates.

Excellent story and thread AIRHAWK. Mine is probably a trip to Columbus in 2003. Myself and two buddies drove over on Friday from Iowa City. Staying in some podunk hotel for about $40/night. Went out in downtown Columbus, stayed up all night thanks to some assistance. Walked across the street at 6:00 am, bought a bunch of beer and a case of Boones (No idea why). We then had a one mile walk to The Shoe. We decided that carrying the Boones and beer would not work so we grabbed a grocery cart and loaded it up. We had to walk through this giant cemetary on the way there, north of the stadium, we had no idea where were going. Ended up tailgating with some Hawk fans we ran into and had a blast. My one buddy got booted from his seat at the game and had to watch the whole game on one of the concourse TVs. Hawks lost though.
Also had a great trip to Madison with my brother, I think it ws 2005, we were in the very top row of Camp Randall, it was rainy and windy. Barry Alvarez's last game. Lots of Jaegerbombs prior the game so we didn't feel the rain and wind. It was a blast and the Hawks won. Trip last year to Columbus was pretty epic, as was the trip to the Big House this year. Also had Randy Reiners pop my shoulder back into place at Hubert's outside the Dump Dome one year.

A friend of mine told me a story about heading up to the dome and watching the game at a bar where a buddy of his had his shoulder pop out and put back in by Reiners. I think he mentioned something about running out on a couple hundred dollar bar tab that night too. You don't happen to know a red haired Irishman that goes by the name of Fitz do ya?

Three guys, a case of beer from DM to IC...that night started off great! And goin to IC is considered a road trip for us b/c it's more than an hour drive lol

Ten of us went to the Orange Bowl in 2002-2003. Spent ten days down there. OMG. It's a miracle we made it out alive. Most of it's a blur but we ordered crappy pizzas on the beach, hit almost every bar on the beach, and stormed some poor little "mom and pop bar" with 10K other Hawk fans after the Huddle closed up shop on New Years. Good times. If I tried to do that trip again now, it would kill me.

I was that Wisconsin game, remember some bar about 10 minute walk from the stadium that was playing porn before the game. I think it was well known locally. We saw Clinton Soloman's mom after the game and bought her a drink and wished Clinton the best of luck going tot he NFL.
