Best game I have ever seen at Kinnick

Read your other post Northcoast...very congratulatory. Appreciate it. I think many decades of Iowa fans have been wanting this one for a long time.

I remember the '04 game that ended up 33-7 or something in that neighborhood. This wasn't close, either...we were at least in this one for a quarter and a half. And tbh, I thought after we answered easily with the TD after the pick 6, we'd be fine.

I can handle the losses, although its capped off a crappy couple days personallly. Again, just beat Michigan. They're the worst.

Yes the 33-7 game was something good for us with Drew Tate leading the way for Iowa.....but OSU was not in high gear at that time for them (I think after that game they started rolling).

Ohio St has been Iowa’s bogeyman for 40 years. Numerous beat downs, even to good Iowa teams. Two subpar Ohio St teams (by their standards of course) costing Iowa an undefeated season in 1985 and took the outright B1G championship in 1990 in one of the most heartbreaking losses I’ve ever seen. This win was some measure of “get back”. Definitely one of my favorites

Just wondering if the closed door meeting between Brian and his dad finally got some things straightened out. We finally stopped beating are head against a wall and threw over that wall. There's been glimmers all year long but not a sustained glimmer. Hope it's here to stay. We've been trashed by OSU for along time and this will be valued for the rest of my days. :)

And there has been a number of good ones. Give it to the staff and players in this one. They were well prepared. So good to see them destroy the arrogant bucks. My God this one feels good. Very good.
Go ahead and bash me...I had to leave early for a daughter's school dealy...thought it would be not a big deal...we would get smoked (but a little birdy in me said we have a shot...we've done this before)
Bottom line...I stayed till the end (kept high five'ing those around me..we all shared "Can't believe this is Effing happening."...no way I would leave without watching Urban run off the field in shame...which he did. (He saw the onslaught of people running on the field and veered to the locker room instead of shaking hands with Kirk...understand that completely. Still would not miss the final gun and the field being over run...Sorry honey...Traffic was horrible

I don't even know how it happened. It's not like Iowa is known for scoring a ton of points...not being snarky...just how I perceive them. It was perfect execution to the nth degree.
If you were to poll Iowa fans Saturday morning about which is more likely, scoring 50 points vs. OSU or scoring 50 points the remainder of the season, you would have been hard pressed to find a single fan to pick the former.

That was awesome!!

#1 Iowa 12 - #2 UM 10 (John Harbaugh crying) is best game. This is #2.

This game had a different vibe than the other great ones that were nail-biters: 1985 Michigan (prob can never be topped), Michigan last year, PSU in 2008, the Pitt 57 yd field goal game, etc, since this one was just an epic beat-down. But it is as satisfying a win as I've ever experienced in Kinnick, just pure joy from start to finish, which is a nice change from a nail-biter like PSU back in September. Definitely in the top 5 of all games I've seen in Kinnick, but easily #1 for pure beginning to end "Woah did you see THAT?" enjoyment.

It was assume. My take was that Iowa was
Better than thought and OSU was not that good with no real resume on the road. The got soundly beaten by a team ISU beat on the road. Take Barrett off that team and that is a program in decline.

I think Urban got it right. They were baited. KF tried to win the three losses the Iowa way. It didnt happen. This one was circled on the calendar.

Which will Bucky see?

For sure. For me: #1 Iowa beats #2 UM, Iowa beats #6 OSU, then Iowa beats the crap out of Texas 55-17. I just loved how much Hayden loved beating UT. Loved it.

When's the last time the Hawkeye's beat a Top 10 team and you were laughing the entire 2nd half because you couldn't believe what you were seeing? That makes this the most fun game I've ever watched. the most important? Not by a long shot.
