Best Conference In America

Clones only lost because they could not motivate themselves to play such a low quality opponent. America already saw what ISU can do to truly elite teams in the more important BIG 12 Tournament

Based on it's teams recent track record in the Dance, shouldn't the Big 12 more appropriately be considered a mid-major conference?

First, he observed that the Big 12 is weaker this year than it has ever been. Second, however, he noted that the conference only has one truly awful team and has a very high number of teams in the 3 through 7 seed range. It doesn't have a single Final Four contender. It really doesn't have a single solid top 2 seed. But it has a bunch of teams you would expect to win a game, maybe two, in the tournament.

That makes the conference look good to KenPom, but when the Dance is done we are likely looking at an 11 year stretch in which the Big 12's record in putting teams in the Final Four is equal to the Horizon League and worse than the Colonial League and the late Conference USA.

This from a Kansas fan.

2 BIG TEN teams in the Final Four! Nuff said.

To the Victors go the spoils.............Big Ten has 2 in Final Four.
How many did PAC-12 have again??? LOL. Sorry they are OUT.

The Big Ten is/was and will be the BEST CONFERENCE in College Hoop.

It's not really close............

out

The ACC is pretty clearly the best conference this year, but the big 10 really isn't that far behind. you could certainly make the argument that the big 10 is better because it's stronger top to bottom, but the top end (top 7ish) of the ACC is ahead of the big 10 pretty easily

Didn't we beat the acc in the challenge and don't we have two in the final four compared to their one? Wouldn't that make us the better conference?

Big 10 > ACC for about 5 years in a row now in the Challenge.

Sorry. ACC has bragged about superiority for years over the Big10. They can't do it anymore..

Sorry. The Final Four says otherwise. Michigan St has almost single handedly destroyed the ACC! If they beat Duke, the destruction will be complete. They've already beat Virginia and Louisville. Wisconsin has beat UNC-Cheat.

I don't think final fours are really indicative of a conferences power. It might show that it's top heavy, but not great. MSU is a surprise to everyone. That's just March. I would say ACC was better this year. The sec isn't the best conference because kentucky is 38-0

Iowa sure made the Big-12 look good this year. Losing by double digits to Texas & getting blown out in Iowa City by Iowa State.

We also won the Big 10 ACC Challenge...not in March. I'm not sure what barometer has the ACC ahead of the Big 10...especially top to bottom.

Or, iowa played poorly in both games and made isu and texas look good. However you wanna look at it I guess. Or did we also make Minnesota and NW look good, when we played poorly in those game?

Either way, B1G > B12.

Well, the Big 10 lost as many games tonight than the Big 12 has in the last 11 Final Fours.

Big 12 >>>>>> B1G
