Thread from the ku board before the tourney. Actually lots of posters had it exactly right and they had low expectations for the conference in the dance. Fairly impressive actually.

LOL this should really be the B12's new slogan, would save your conference your annual embarrassment come bowl and tournament season.
I guess the Big 12 could change their slogan from "one true champion" to "our worst teams are better than the worst teams in other conferences."

I posted numerous times on here (some others did too) about the inflated RPIs of the Big 12. OU was a three seed with 10 losses??
Hopefully, going forward, The NCAA does not allow teams in that are a couple games under .500 in their league. If you can't win 1/2 of your games in your league, you have no right to compete for a National Title. That goes for ANY conference.

I know ISU fans HATE KU fans. The fact is, the average KU fan has about 1000000000000 X the BB knowledge as the average ISU fan does. Take ForeverIowan for instance, he simply knows nothing about BB, and has proven it on this site, time and time and time again.

I agree. KU fans have earned the right to talk all day if they want. They have competed at the highest level and won. They will win again. They are the flag ship of that conference in bball.

Even if Kansas was at full strength we all kinda knew they were a weak #2. This simply wasn't a vintage Kansas team. To be honest, Iowa St. let the conference down. They had a easy path til Gonzaga and they matched up well with them. Probably the only team in the region that could bring Zagas' bigs out of the paint. They eff'd that all up by deciding it was okay not to box out anyone in UAB uniform.
After watching them and Wisconsin duke it out in the B1G championship game I knew they'd be a big problem in the tourney. The Hawks needed their defense against the Zags that's for sure.

^ Agree. I will say the ACC especially and to a lessor extent, the PAC 12 had great runs as well. I think you can make an argument for these two and us as being the best.

Two of the Final Four teams are from the "weakest conference" in America. I was never too strong on the math but I think that's two more than the Big 12 and 1 more than two other conferences.

It would have been nice if their best player was missing wide open layups instead of making every shot he threw up. They looked like a good mid major in every single round of the tournament except for 1 where they looked like national championship contenders.
