Best Bowl Trip You've Been On

Went to the Iowa vs USC orange bowl, had a blast in Miami. Even though we lost, it was a great experience and got to see a bunch of future NFL players in one game.

have been to 6 different locations - all have great parts - '86 Rose - looks unbelievably cool on TV, 10 X's better in person.... Century Plaza, Malibu, Hollywood Hills, etc.

For $$ experience - 82 Peach Bowl - $125/person. Charter bus (kegs included), stayed at brand new hotel, All-Iowa Bash was still 'new', Hawks win, Hotel had great party (which we got included) and that was after we watched Penn St - Georgia & Hershel Walker at the hotel in our Iowa gear w/ locals in tuxes & gowns.

2004 Outback was best $$ spent - ever. Had a kid price that made it doable, 82 temp everyday, partied w/ people from the 80's bowl games, 2 full days @ Clearwater Beach, Alumni Assoc. tailgate was perfect, and our son still talks how 'the coolest thing was when Gallry planted the flag on the Gator in the endzone" and then kids got to high-five about 50 players... never get old looking at those pics.

The couple Outback Bowls were the best. Actually the Alamo Bowl was a great time too. San Antonio is a great bowl host city. The Orange Bowl might have been better had the weather cooperated. 48 degrees at kick off is Iowa City like not Miami.
