I think with Dix it's going to come down to $$$ and if Iowa can get close with that. I don't think it will be so much the coach Iowa hired, per se. I think he'd be fine with McCollum and Iowa but he's in a position to cash in from some school. Freeman the same but not sure he has the alliance that Dix may have with Iowa. I suppose there is a chance that IA State could pull Dix there to if he wanted to stay close to home. Who knows. It definitely is the Wild West anymore but kind of interesting to follow if your team plays poker pretty well. If they don't it can suck.

Creighton is my second MBB school as I attended. So, if Dix is going to go anywhere, would love to see him land with the Jays. That said, McDermott runs a very similar style to Fran. Up and down, lots of 3s and little defense.

This is just my personal observation, but I never felt Dix was suited for, or excelled in Fran's run and gun. I thought Dix was a good defender, excelled in the half court offense, and was not overly effective in fast break settings.

I think he would be the best version of himself in McCollum's system. My two cents.

Totally agree. Seems like a very cerebral player. Plays with patience and pace. I want to see him in this system so much.

Nice find. I would think lots of schools woulda liked to get in on the Stirtz sweepstakes. We are pretty fortunate he didn't want their to even be one. He made a hell of an impression in those 2 games he played on the big stage. Not counting what he did all yr before that.

Kalkbrenner was a 4 time defensive player of the year in the Big East, Freeman ain’t that. McDermott is pretty good with big men, and he will be able to develop Freeman’s face up game. You are right he will be a nice replacement as a scorer.

Bennet is currently ranked #1 portal transfer by every site I've seen. Gotta feel like that's a good start for Iowa. I've seen him on some draft boards, but in the high 30's, so likely not guaranteed anything through that path.
