From article:

After Jordan Canzeri and LeShun Daniels Jr., were injured, redshirt freshman Akrum Wadley was counted on to step up and fill in.

Before this opportunity presented itself, someone had already been in his ear, someone who knew a whole lot about waiting for his turn.

“[Weisman’s] just been telling me, ‘Wait patiently, keep grinding, hang in there, keep pushing through, and your time is going to come. You get out what you put in,’” Wadley said. “And that’s what I’ve been doing. I’ve been watching Mark.”

good story, great Hawk. I know alot of fans like someone flashier, but he get things done and will likely leave as the all-time rushing TD leader. I think we all agree though, the stretch play shouldn't be for him unless we are steamrolling the opponent like NW :)

Says a lot about Mark, but also a lot about Akrum. Love his attitude. He seems very humble and is continually making fans as we learn more about him. Seems like a great kid on his way to hopefully a great career.

Great story. Says a lot about a guy when the senior DT, freshman RB, and all of the coaches all say a lot more than the standard lip-service about a player.

Weisman is like a fine wine....the longer the season goes along, the more you appreciate him. He needs to stay healthy for this last push...and if he does, he will be the all time Hawk TD man, and the Hawks win the West...

His desire is to become a strength and conditioning coach after he graduates. His commitment in the weight room, his work ethic, and working sith Doyle for the past 4 yrs tells me he will be wildly successful in his field. Can we keep this guy on staff? :)
