They were also a bad team. Never heard leadership praised on a bad team.
Leadership and chemistry suddenly appear after winning.
You're forgetting the guy who took his ball and cried all the way to Michigan because he wasn't good enough to keep the starting job his senior year. Everything I've heard between January and now pretty much just confirms the attitude of last year's team was that CJB should've been the starter all season. I can see why guys love playing with Beathard, look what he is playing through, and he goes out every week, sacrifices his body, and busts his *** for the team.Meh... they've been saying it since January that leadership was an issue. And honestly, I can think of a couple names of players who probably really weren't all that team-oriented. I mean, Carl Davis essentially admitted he would take a few plays off then one or two back on. That's pretty individualistic. With all the hype Scherff got, I'm sure it was a bit of a distraction for him. And King/Lomax/Ott weren't really the leaders on defense yet. But they certainly seem to be team leaders now. Same with Blythe. And I even think Cole Fisher helped out there, too.
