Metcalf scored a takedown on the clinch in the first. Scored a takedown late in the 2nd period, but gave up 3 exposure at the buzzer. Scored a takedown in the 3rd on a nice high crotch to win the match.

OBTW, having been to NYC for the first time last summer that was really cool setting up the wrestling mat in the middle of the city. I was impressed by Cejudo's come back, Burroughs freestyle success, and Varner's domination. Metcalf was good but he gave up the late 3 at the buzzer in the 2nd period to send it to the 3rd. Thought he should've been more defensive...seemed like he lost because of the "Iowa style", i.e. being too aggressive to the end (remember Dan Dennis 2 years ago?).
