Bears Make A Move - WR

Well Manning was meeting with the Titans today. Miami seems logical but so does Tennessee, the entire state would be in an uproar if he went there.

Great day for Dolphins,Manning would NEVER put up with Marshall and it clears the way for Wayne and Clark. Plus we stole 2 3rd round picks from THE BEARS.

I don't think you stole them from the Bears. You can have all the 3rd round picks ever made during the Angelo era. They have not had good luck with the 3rd round picks.

I'm a 49ers fan... But living in the Midwest often has me cheering for the Bears because my uncle lives in Chicago and has season tickets. I usually make it to 1 or 2 Bears games a year.

With that said, I hate that they went after Brandon Marshall. Does he make their team better? Absolutely. However, he's as cancerous as it gets in the NFL. The guy is a thug and a woman beater. I'm not basing that off the previous post's report either. He has a history of losing his cool and beating up women. I'm guessing Philbin and KOK had zero desire to put up with his off the field antics. Peyton probably had no desire to play with him either although it sounds like he may land in TN. The Bears may have landed their go to receiver, but I think they just made their situation worse.

Actually DP his team mates loved him and most have already commented they hated to see him go. Evidently he was a pretty good guy in the locker room.

He's not going to Miami, because there's no WR there and he can't take Wayne (now that he re-signed). Denver is the front runner IMO

Marshall's at the point in his career where production will decrease. O'Keefe pulled off a helluva move unloading him. I would expect them to sign DJK as a free agent and go after McNutt in the first round.

In light of the allegations levied against Marshall, it sure looks like O'Keefe bamboozled the Bears as I predicted yesterday.

ssckelley --- Do you have an article that supports your statement about his teammates loving him? I'm not saying it isn't true but I have a hard time believing grown men "love" a guy who has the kind of off the field issues Brandon Marshall has. He was so dead-set on beating up one of his old girlfriend's he tried to break his way through the front windshield of a car to get at her. Woman beater's aren't usually respected by other grown men. They certainly aren't respected by me.

If all you really care about is how well your team does in the wins and losses department then you're probably happy the Bears got him. However, he needs to be on the field to produce and I'm not sure he can stay there. Quite frankly, I'm surprised the Bears signed him after the debacle they went through with the WR who was busted selling a very large quantity of drugs (can't remember who it was).

No I can't it was a ESPN discussion about it yesterday and they showed a bunch of tweets from other Miami players. They also talked about some kind of personality disorder that causes him to act the way he does on the field but in the locker room he is completely different.

I am not saying this is not without risk but theScore is speculating Cutler may have had quite a bit of say in this and if the 2 can produce anything close to what they did together in Denver then the Bears are going to be pretty good next season. It is not to often you can give up a couple of 3rd round picks and get a #1 (pro bowl) receiver that already has a history with your quarterback.

A history of violence against women is a day at the beach compared to selling a bunch of weed? Hmm that's an interesting statement.
