Tough loss and we got whippy whipped by a good team that played well. Turnovers got us in this one. It was execution and not getting any breaks. It would have been a Big upset to win this one.

I don't have problem with the game plan or coaching this week. Interceptions and fumbles and not getting them to bounce our way was the story. Defense played pretty decent for the most part.

There were good things as well and if they can put it together for the majority of the next two games we can still get 7 or 8 wins.

Good effort by the players just too many mistakes. THEY NEVER GAVE UP AND THAT SHOULD MEAN SOMETHING!

tough loss but proud to be a hawkeye!

Stop ripping on players trying there best, its classless.

Go Hawks forever! Win OR lose.

I don't have problem with the game plan or coaching this week. I respectfully disagree

Good effort by the players just too many mistakes. THEY NEVER GAVE UP AND THAT SHOULD MEAN SOMETHING! Totally agree, was glad to see some pride

tough loss but proud to be a hawkeye! Always a Hawkeye fan

Go Hawks forever! Win OR lose It's easier when you win, but your right.

Expecting consistent hard effort and good execution is what fans do. Being outspoken when we don't see it is also what fans do.

Don't sugarcoat this effort

not so good Game by Spartens, to many memories of yester year, against Notre Dame, way to many convienent Injuries, it is one thing to lose, when the beatdown is earned, but to lose by questionable injuries, not to my thinking

Wow. Really. Yes, he got beat. Not lack of effort. I can barely handle this board after a loss, (question the " well, don't come here then" replies.

Nobody makes every play. Turnovers cost us this game, NOT lack of effort.

But by all means, let's reference It's salary, that's the problem...wrong!

Agree 100%, move on to Purdue. Go Hawks.

How were we outcoached? Not this game, sorry.

-3 in turnover = loss.

The same way we are every week it seems. Hell, it doesn't take a genius to know what we're going to do situationally. Opposing coaches know a hell of a lot more than the average fan does. Do the math.

A Fanatic is a person who practices fanaticsm. That is not a good thing.

"From fanaticism to barbarism is only one step." Diderot

"In the history of mankind, fanaticism has caused more harm than vice” Lois Kronenberger

"A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject" Churchhill

MSU scored more points in the first half against Iowa than in their three previous road games combined. That's poor.

The offense was to blame for some of that. The O-line got handled. One pick was not a well-thrown ball by JVB to Davis; it was put in a place where Davis couldn't catch it but where the MSU DB could. He made a play.

The Defense couldn't make a play when it was needed. There are breakdowns in the DB because they are trying to make a play since the DL and LB corps can't or don't.

Bernstein's fumble was an effort play. Can't knock him a player for effort. MSU kick coverage team made a play. Kicking game was poor. That's 2 of last 3 weeks, too.

Ferentz said they didn't look ready to play. The emotion wasn't there. There's no excuse for that. That's 2 of the last 3 weeks where that effort has been poor. This team has not improved throughout the season. An average team has to make up for that and play with emotion.

Let's not whitewash this and say if it weren't for the turnovers Iowa would have ________. MSU looked like the wanted to win. Iowa didn't.

By the way, Dantonio. You suck. The "injury" merry-go-round routine in the 2nd half was low-class. The jersey does say Michigan State on it so I'm repeating myself.

Great point. Lol. We weren't. Outcoached. Outplayed, maybe.

I hope KF is our coach for a long time, and I have good reasons for it. Would I like more wins, sure. Ferentz is one of the most respected coaches in the country, even by other coaches. Do you think that is by accident.

U do the math...smart guy.

Do you think it's an accident that Coker routinely gets hit at or near the LOS? When you have more guys in the box then the offense has blockers, that's no accident...that's design. That's what happens when an offense that relies on the run, rarely throws the ball deeper than 7 yards. (On 1st and 2nd down, not obvious passing downs). Nor do we seem to attack the perimeter, or find ways to get our athletes in space. Do you think it's an accident we seem to throw short of the sticks only to be tackled a yard or two short of the first down on 3rd downs?
