From what I have seen of Isaiah Austin in the last couple of games can be a head case. I think the difference in this game may be Basabe and McCabe getting under his skin. Woody too but I think Basabe and most def McCabe know how to mess with a guy like this the most.

Though they want to talk about Marble and baylors ittty bitty pg. I think this game maybe won by whose bigs can stay most composed.....Ill hang up and listen.

I'd love to see Mel posterize Austin, like he did Len. Further, just have a huge all-around game in front of family @ MSG.

Side note:
Thought Mel was huge in setting the tone vs Maryland. While I know he got some early fouls, he was in no worse shape than either Woody or McCabe at any point during the game. Curious why he rode bench for most of 2nd half and only wound up playing 15"? Same thing happened vs Stoney Brook -- game was still up for grabs late 2nd half but, after really playing solid at crucial times, he was on the bench in lieu of Gabe.

Wondering if Fran treats him a bit like Sapp? Has the bar set high for him and gives him the hook for "lapses" or "production lulls" that others get the chance to play through? Anyone have insight on this?

I thought he looked a little tense against MD, trying to do too much in front of his crowd. hopefully he finds a groove tonight.

Agreed. Should I call Fran or will you?;)

Ya, that's more like it.....Hello Fran?

Fran is going to run the Baylor big men tonight...mark my words. Austin looked gassed against BYU at several intervals. Get them gassed, get them in foul trouble. I really expect Iowa to push tempo and try to get Jackson to run his own show. If we can cover the wings (hairlip mostly, or heslip, whatever), White and Basabe better be able to swat his crap around the basket.
