Iowa is giving that EXACT perception, that the health and well being is NOT important, and continually blowing it in that regard. Which is why my first post in the entire thread was how they were going to get crucified for not addressing this properly on day 1. The health and well being is the #1 priority and Iowa has done a horrible job of showing it.

Unless releases are signed then its nobody's business but the players and their parents. Mix that all in with potential legal ramifications of "who is advising who" then I can understand the delays and awkwardness of the situation.

Iowa has done a bad job of showing it to the media. We don't know - and people like Doyel and Forde certainly don't - how often Kirk has been in contact with parent, nurses, etc. That he hasn't "spread the gospel" to appease the media doesn't really concern me. Kirk has never come across as one who really gives a **** what the people who cover him think, so why should that change now?
Yes, Iowa got ripped for this. By national writers who can't be bothered to do any research of their own and by a local media who is just looking for someone to burn. In both cases, the medias reactions has been reactionary.
When the local media heres starts reporting facts instead of blind accusations is when I'll start paying attention to what they have to say. Until then, I'll form my own opinions.
You PERCEPTION weenies are what is wrong with the whole damn country! DO EVERYTHING for show and not substance! KF has the balls to do what is right and let the worthless media jackals eat their young - he's man enough to take it and that is one other BIG reason I am so proud to have him LEAD our fb team.

Perception is reality. They had a great opportunity to "do what is right" and did not come back to town....Barta still hasnt said a single word.

There could also be some concern regarding quality of life and possible kidney damage that could lead to huge hospital bills long after their playing days are over. Your PERCEPTION is a bit tunnel visioned.

It would satisfy blowhards like Doyel, Forde and Deace but thats about it. The only person that I would have liked to have seen at the press conference that wasnt is Doyle.
