Barkley Hill

Oh wow what a tool you are.....and you provide where he cried all about that? Nobody cries more than clown fans.

Tool? I have no problem with KF and Iowa going after Hill. I'm sure they wouldn't have offered him if he didn't tell them he was at least interested. All I said is that certain guys, like Jon Miller, can't complain about this going forward.

As far as providing where he cried about it....it was on the radio on signing day a couple years back. I highly doubt that Jon would deny that he was very critical of Charlie Weis for stealing one of Iowa's players

I see Kirk has recently offered Barkley Hilll who is committed to ISU. Is this a common practice to go after a kid that has committed? I know Bill Snyder has always done this, but didn't realize Kirk did also.

Iowa has ALWAYS recruited guys, committed or not, IF the recruit indicates that they still want to be hearing from Iowa.

IF the recruit wants Iowa to stop .... ONLY then do the Hawks quit recruiting the kid. It's as simple as that.

Most knowledgeable Iowa fans say as much. The very fact that Iowa STOPS at the recruit's request is still a bit a novelty ... because many, if not most, programs don't.

What's the "gentleman's agreement" among B10 coaches? I thought it was something along the lines of once a player committed to a school in-conference, the other coaches were to back off. Obviously that wouldn't seem to be the situation w/ CJF, Melvin Gordon, McCall, etc., so obviously my thinking was incorrect. Is it just general negative recruiting against other B10 coaches? I know at one time this "gentleman's agreement" existed b/c it came up when the Vest (now very ironic considering what we know about him) commented on it at the B10 media days when DickRod had his first few months of recruiting and ruffled some feathers w/ his tactics. Anyhow, could somebody shed some light on my misinterpretation and what the "gentleman's agreement" is, or was?
