Bagdad bob (dolph) and the call in show

There you go again NCHawker making another thread.

jkjk. Good timey radio is good read.

Good time radio is a good read but boy that radio show is lame, so lame. I can tell even though I have never listened to it.

The start was pretty funny, he said something to the effect of in the past if there was a crowd of that size they were there for a lynching. The crowd was pretty shocked at the statement as it was at least a reference to the bad will Kurt currently has. Then he went into his typical we support the coach etc.

I used to listen to it until I realized that the screeners only let the "we love you coach, Ferentz" calls through. It's a complete waste of time.

This old-timey radio thread is my favorite every week. The only thing about iowa football that makes me smile.

Moorehouse isn't afraid to correct Dolphin on his weekly gaffs in breaking down the upcoming opponent. Love Dolphin but he doesn't do much prep before these shows as he's usually wrong about describing players from the other team.

Not true. You ever call in? I have...they do not screen the calls. I listened last nite and one caller from Sioux City asked KF why he did not put in CJ in for the second half vs Minny....not exactly a ''love ya KF call''....

I was not happy with KF's response....which was along the lines of '' we thought about it and decided there was not point'' what the heck?

I am furious with KF over the usage of CJ and Wadley but am not deranged enough to forget that he does bring good things to the program also.

If he just changed up a bit, he could still salvage this season and his legacy.

Just mind boggling to me that he doesn't play CJ..One ,he protects his starter from possible injury in a game that was over by the half. Two, gives CJ some important play time in a game where he can just tell CJ( relax and have fun out there and get some experience under your belt) If Rudock got hurt playing against Minnie in the 2nd half ,KF would have looked like a friggin idiot. I am beginning to despise KF(something I would have never imagined a few years ago) He is going to run CJ off, then we'll have no depth if Rudock goes down.

Continuing to play Rudock when he's playing horribly, like against ISU, Maryland and Minny, makes KF look pretty foolish. Even the lady from Spirit Lake had that figured out. Rudock already got hurt in a game. CJ got his chance and overcame a 10 point deficit.

I've never called the KF show, but I have called Fran's and they did screen me. I hear very little of worth on KF's call in show. Any caller that does ask a decent question often gets his question twisted and restated by Dolph before it gets to KF. Then the two of them have a chuckle over the perceived ignorance of the caller before laughing off the question and Dolph telling a story from the good old days.

The man, (KF) needs to be held accountable and I don't think he is. At least not on that show.

So true!

Maybe I'm the idiot, but I see no point in going to a backup QB simply to put him in during an *** beating like that. If you're going to go the entire second string on both sides of the ball so be it, but to make 1 switch among the first string in my opinion is ridiculous. If it takes pulling one guy to get 10 others looking as if they want to be there then in my opinion it's an all or nothing substitution.

I'd even consider taking it a step further. The way we tanked last week I'd of probably left my strarters in all game long and let the second string know they had a week worth of meaningful reps to get ready for Illinois as I'd give the starters an opportunity to look like they want to get back on the field and maybe sitting a game might get that point across.

The problem is that kfootball has proven, many times in the face of sound football logic, that he will not make real change that matters. That is his choice. But the results of his choices are have brought Iowa back to mediocrity.
