REUTERS- Chicago in a move to boost the image of Big Ten Football Jim Delaney made it clear he expects Big Ten programs to step up and play bigger non-conference games: Wisconsin and now Nebraska have done just that, as the Cornhuskers added Oregon in a home and home series in 2016/2017. In an odd, and totally under-publicized fashion move today Gary Barta and Kirk Ferentz announced Iowa's schedule for 2016 & 2017. Gary Barta & Kirk Ferentz proudly displayed the Iowa Hawkeye Football schedule today which revealed, unbelieveably, that Iowa will drop Iowa State and play ALL MAC schools plus a lower ranked FCS school from here on out. When Bruce Feldman asked Barta and Ferentz about the odd move and how this fits in with the direction of the rest of the conference Ferentz just grumbled inaudible grunts and sniffles while Barta said, "Well we need 6 wins to be bowl eligible don't we? We don't care about being recognized as a QUALITY program we just want the bowl revenue."
