Great post. I could not believe what I was watching when JoePa was answering that question. It almost seemed like he thought the rule was they could take points off the board for any unsportsmanlike or taunting penalty.

If that question would not have been asked at Media Day and Penn State had a touchdown negated because of taunting this year, JoePa would have been completely oblivious as to why the TD was wiped out.

It's funny people think JoePa actually coaches....he doesn't run practice and has very little input on gameday. He's a slightly better mascot than their Lion....

Where in my post did I say that JoePa does a lot of coaching? My point was that if the scenario were to happen JoePa would more than likely look like a horses *** on the sideline because he would have no idea why they took points away.

Hey, remember that one time when the allegations of fOSU cheating came out, and you said that it was all baseless and that you weren't worried at all and that nothing was going to happen, and then it turns out the allegations weren't baseless, and you still weren't worried about it, and then everyone found out teh sweater vest lied, and you still weren't worried about it, and then he got fired and replaced with some defensive coordinator who sweats more than a whore in church? That was awesome.

The one thing I did notice from watching the original coach interviews was that Joe Paterno obviously has not kept up on the rule changes. He had no idea that the NCAA had implemented the "taunting" violation that could actually take points off the scoreboard. Maybe that is something he would rely on his assistant coaches to pass on to the team, but you would think he would at least be aware of the rule change.

JoePa's cognitive skills may be diminishing. Someday we may hear something like the following from him:

"I blew it not taking the timeout there,â€￾ Ferentz said. “I didn’t realize after a penalty, they start the clock.â€￾
