I have never understood why Iowa fans should root for any team we recruit against.

This x 1,000. Plus, we have to live next to these moron Nebraska and Wisconsin fans, and in most cases deal with them at work and have to listen to their nonsense. I won't be having any Georgia, South Carolina, or Oregon fans bragging to me anytime soon.

I guess I'm the minority in this thread then. If the Big Ten is down, that reflects poorly on Iowa. Even if we win next year then, the perception is that it doesn't mean much (Look at Boise State for a good example). I root for the Big Ten when we don't play them.
