Awesome Olesani clip

With those teams I don't know who I'd put money on winning. I think it would be a pretty good match up.

It is basically a coin toss I believe. Two good teams, too. With either one just as good as last years team, in my opinion. Assuming they all step it up a notch, and AC is as good as believed.

There were a few moments in that video that I literally almost jumped out of my seat. Especially when he stuffs the poor white dude on the glass.

GO has all the tools to be a great post player, and I can even see him and Woody on the court at the same time because they both run the floor well and Woody can pass out of the post pretty well for a guy his size.

I look at the potential of GO and see him not so much surpassing Woody as Basabe for playing time over the course of the year into next. If both Woody and GO progress this year into anything like their potential, a dual tower situation could be in order.

Lol, I had the same thought about Basabe. Competition is good for the soul and for a basketball team. The practices will be more intense and help improve player developement. Success breads success.

As much as I hope and believe that Gabe is going to be big time before he graduates, I don't put much stock in this video. This is an England camp. I could put together a shiz-nizzle mix tape of me going up against the middle schoolers down the block. Just saying.

Naw, they can't play BB in England and the competition is awful. Yet anyone that has any observational skills when it comes to BB has to be impressed by this video evidence.

On the other hand wundergrape your scouting skills align with a sorrowraison.

I talked to the brother of one of the players a few days ago, and he said he has been very impressed by GO during the summer and fall. Says he's one of the most athletic guys on the court and his skills are catching up to that athleticism.

I think it will be necessary as Woody will likely experience a lot of ups and downs. We'll need both of them to provide that big man presence.

In Hawkeye Heaven and where everything works out may GO become a mini-me version of Hakeem Olajawon (sp)

I'm not suggesting a Hall of Famer.. just a kid that improves year by year and ends up with some senior numbers of 10 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals.

Even a couple of years in the NBA and another 10 in over seas pro BB.

So nothing like Hakeem Olajawon then?

I miss Doug. As much as he threw down at Iowa it was nowhere near the number of dunks I saw out of him while he was at SCC in Burlington. I honestly think he alone had more dunks in the time he played there then I've seen from everyone on that court since he left. Amazing athlete, fantastic jumper and a very nice kid.

a "mini-me" ghost... hoping for more.

Ok, so a smaller Hakeem Olajawon, but without the great offensive game, lock down defense, stellar career, or even a chance at a starting spot. In fact, the two don't seem to share very much at all, except African-sounding names.

I wonder why you chose THAT comparison...
