When Claybourn stayed in school instead of entering the draft, I was excited what this taught young student athletes. IMO, this was very important, to show underclassmen that team is more important than individual.
I'm most disappointed that because the Hawks had a very difficult season, that Claybourn is probably regretting his decision. It was the right decision, but it is not getting the merit it deserves. His staying and not reaching his goals, in fact, moving down the draft and losing boatloads of money, can't help but be a future deciding factor to some of our promising underclassmen.
Claybourn should have received an award for making the right decision.
