I read that 6'0" shooting guard, Averie Lower, from Clear Creek Amana has verbaled to Arizona St. She seems to have an excellent resume. I'm just wondering if she was recruited by Iowa and, if not, why not?

Arizona St has a new coach, Milly Miller, who just guided Grand Canyon women to their first ever Big Dance. She is originally from Springfield, MO, played college ball and then coached at Drury in Springfield and won two Div II titles before heading to GCU. She is really beating the bushes hard trying to upgrade the Sun Devel program.

She was recruited but never received an offer from the Hawks. I wish she would have, she is legit and a good kid.

It could have came down to that Coach Jensen got the players she wanted and potentially there was not room for her. Not that she is a lesser player, but other players may have been more of a fit. Obviously, the CC Effect and the recent success of the women's team has likely boosted recruiting.
