I didn't think that was his point. Strictly as a QB, he would have been as rough as McNutt was. I don't think that, but I thought that was what the guy meant when he said that.

Whether or not Arnaud would have been a QB or WR, he wouldn't have been nearly as good for our program as McNutt.

Look, I love Marvin, he's done a lot for us. But he was pretty dreadful as a QB in what little action he got to see. Had he (McNutt) not switched positions, Arnaud would have likely been better.
He sucks in that offense. In an offense like ours he may thrive. We have a very QB friendly offense. Maybe my statements are made with a biased eye since he's an Iowa kid and comes across as a class act. I hope recruits pay close attention to our staffs consistency as that has too pay huge dividends in a players development. I made these last two comments because AA has lacked this in his five years at ISU.

Iowa fans would also conclude that PSU's Clark sucks for similar reasons ... however, Big 10 coaches would beg to differ.
Similarly, I'd say that the Iowa squad has something to do with the poor quality of Arnaud's play.

No way! Iowa never has anything to do with Iowa beating Iowa State. Iowa State just didn't show up to play the last two years. It had nothing to do with Iowa. Just wanted to clear that up.
