Attending Big Noon show...

My older son is taking me to the game tomorrow (his Father's Day present to me) and he wants to be in the pit for the show...he's even had signs made. The show starts at 9 am, fans can start tailgating at 7:30 am and they recommend getting there before 7:30 to get in the pit. Duh!

Does anyone have an informed opinion on just how early we need to get there to be in the pit? My son is thinking 5 am (because he's not in his 50's like I am). Is that early enough? Too early?

GO HAWKS!!

I would think that 5 a.m. would put you in a pretty good spot. But that is certainly not an informed opinion!

I thought about going but already going to the game and I really don't want to be outside for the entire day. Props to you and your son for toughing it out!

From word on the ground, it didn't matter how early you showed up. It mattered how much you ran, trampled, and pushed when they opened the gates at 7:20. (Not the announced 7:30)
That is correct. I was one of the people that got pushed to the ground in the rush. A girl near us did too. She didn’t seem to be injured but was pretty shook up and lost her phone.

Kid texted me at 7.
I'm getting vertigo looking for him on TV. It's making me a little queasy.

Doesn't help that I'm looking for a white dude of northern European descent wearing black and gold. Needle in a haystack seems easy compared to looking for a specific piece of hay in a haystack.

As a post script, I was just checking scores, and I saw that tickets were still available as low as $91.00. Compare to the Washington-Wisconsin game, where it shows tickets still available as low as $7.00.......kinda sad for Bucky......have some Wisconsin roots and while I hope we trounce them in every sport, I still like to see them be respectable otherwise........
