At the crack of dawn.....

Skinny - In all seriousness, we do NOT have the skill to exploit anyone....how many years in a row are we going to have sub NAIA talent at WR?

Exactly. What we're seeing at the skill positions is the byproduct of MAC level at best recruiting. As for people that say they are going to improve. The ceiling is only so high with the talent level we have. That is why recruiting matters so much, especially at the skill positions. Yes, our coaches are completely clueless as well, which makes matters even worse.

I disagree with this, PM. We all agree AW is a real talent. ISM is a legit threat. I believe B. Smith is a legit threat. We don't know about Matt Quarrels because he has seen the field yet. Which, if you ask me, is odd. I think IKM is the real deal and I think TY could become a real horse for us. I mean, we threw to him one time out of the backfield and he made a remarkable play for 23 yards and then nothing. No, we have talent. Again....we just aren't using it correctly or, sometimes, at all.

What makes you think ISM and especially Smith are legit threats? Because Smith is tall? He can't get open to save his life. He's been on the field a lot, and caught maybe 3-4 passes, and fumbled one of them away. I don't think he has caught a pass over 5 yards. ISM will make a play every now and then, but to say he is a threat to any defense is overblown. He weighs all of maybe 165, and gets completely knocked off his route if someone even touches him. We have very little talent at wr, and none on the way to help out. This is a major part of why we have no offense. No team is even respectful of what we throw out there for a passing game, nor should they be.

How do you know BS can't get open? Have you been in practice because you sure as hell cant make that assessment from his on field performance -- he hasn't had any to note.

Because ISM has shown his talent. I wholly disagree with you re: ISM. To me, B. Smith has also shown his talent, in his limited reps. My opinion of B. Smith does include some projection and speculating, but I see what I see. I can see why you may disagree with me on B. Smith; the sample size is small.
