At SOME point, coaching has to be questioned

We haven't had good second-half adjustments since...I can't even remember.

Sooner or later, that has to be put on the coaching staff...including the top guy.
 
It has been, Fran is not a good "coach" at all, lately all it seems he is good as is throwing temper tantrums.
 
This team has just learn to lose over the past two seasons.. they are victims in their own head and Fran can't fix that scary place.
 
Fran is a great coach. He doesn't play on the floor. Sloppy, Lazy Defense and sloppy offense are not on him. He has to play his players. It's up to them to pull their heads out of their arses.
 
Tonight...weird substitutions again. Uthoff barely on the floor, Woodbury sits while he is hot, Jok finds playing time, Basabe lost, White does his usual run away and hide, and then Marble I mean seriously that is the best he has on senior night? This staff leaves me scratching my head...and this zone has flat out killed us.
 
Coaching is suspect. Incoherent rotations, lack of player development, questionable role players, seeming tolerance for lazy, weak attitudes
 
I'm losing faith. We get beat in every second half. When was the last 2nd half we won? Also, why did he stop pressing? Why don't we push the ball like we use to? Why did Gesell foul?

Man, if KF got this kind of vehement support...
 
We come out on Sr night and immediately get down double digits.

Play our way back into the lead but then after halftime, again the opposition takes back the momentum.

When you consistently play your worst coming out of the locker room... it's coaching.

No.. It is Fran's responsibility he puts these crap lineups on the court. I'm tired of people blaming the players, fact is Fran and this coaching staff has not created TEAM CHEMISTRY. This is on Fran and Fran ALONE..

I've taken my fair share of heat on HN by certain posters for saying that Fran must at some point shorten the Bench on this site very early on in the season. It is playing out right now on why..

Fran is just looking dumb out there now. He looks like he has no clue - he just doesn't know that he has 'no clue'
 
Fran is not as good as I originally thought. He's just not. A good coach rights the ship, they don't continue to steer it into the shore. This season is G A R B A G E. Thanks seniors and Fran!!!
 
Ya think??? Cripes, Hawkprdatr and me have been questioning his sanity all season. It's just now being posed as a consideration by you dweebs? This whole place -- from Carver to Kinnick to Hawkeyenation -- is just teeming with DUH!

The honeymoon period is officially over with Fran. He is nothing but a hype machine and tantrum thrower. Reminds me of a football coach in Ames....
 
When Groce switched to a zone in the 2nd half it really seemed as though Iowa labored with it.
Illinois wasn't playing for much of anything tonight. Not as much as the Hawks anyway. Yet, Groce got more out of his guys than Fran managed to. Take from it what you will.
