"At least some people are still playing defense"

That was Ferentz' comment about the Wisconsin game when asked about our offense's inability to score points. He basically answered by talking about how our defense and Wisconsin's defense played well today, and both teams struggled to really move the football for the first 50 minutes.

Then he says, "There are still some people playing defense".

Looking deeper at this specific comment makes me think Ferentz hates scoring. He hates teams that put up 40+. He hates Oregon, Auburn, and Ohio State. He hates teams that run their QB. He hates teams that force our linebackers to defend quicker wide receivers. He hates deception. Deception is gimmicky and it's a fad. He attributes high scoring teams to not playing great defense.

This comment was his passive aggressive way of answering the question that was about offense. Good for you, you play good defense. For the most part, you've always played good defense. But guess what, we're sick of your offense. We're sick of your ******** offense. The question wasn't about your defense. The question was about your offense.

Playing good defense is not an excuse for pathetic offense.
