At least one or the other?

Based on the commitment to the decision timetable and the comments from Delany does it seem to anyone else that the Big Ten is going to hold out for Texas or ND (or both)? and if they don't get at least one of them, they will not expand at this point?

If they don't get at either ND or Texas, I tend to think that they will plow ahead with 14 so they still have the option of adding them later if they change their minds.

Yeah I can see that. While it would be nice (especially concerning ND) to say this is it, last chance - join or go home. I think if they don't get the homerun (ND or TX) they will leave the door open. Which IMO means something like NE MO Rutgers make it 14. I think taking two Big East teams may force ND's hand better but the B10 could tell the Big East - help us get ND (i.e. give them an ultimatum to join for all sports or get out) and we won't poach any more schools from you. I think this coupled with the B10 not allowing any teams to schedule ND if they do not join will be enough to force their hand. Also, takign two schools from the B12 with the possibility of CU going to the Pac10 may be enough for TX to starts seriously looking for a new home. I think the tough part on TX will getting them to joing the B10 over the SEC. The good thing is I thin the SEC will be happy taking OK and OK State to round out their superconference and their academics fit much better in the SEC.
