at 12 AM BTN didn't turn into a pumpkin on dish

BTN did not go dark on dish. Evidently they have a temporary agreement. Which indicates to me that they will eventually agree on terms.

I still might switch but I have about 4 months left on my dish contract and that hopper thing looks awesomre.

I'm not sure how short term this agreement is but usually that is a good thing and they should get a long term contract worked out.

Dish and BTN agreed to a short term deal so it wont shut off. Still need to work out long term deal but this is encouraging

When we first got sattellite we went with Dish Network and were happy with them but we switched to Direct TV when the BTN first came out because Dish Network did not have the BTN. From the very start Direct TV was deceitful and seemed to be trying to cheat us out of money with their billing by not giving us the deals they said they would. As soon as Dish got the BTN we switched back to them. I am happy with Dish and excited that I do not have to look into going back to that other company.

You're doing it wrong. I have always had my problem fixed and usually with an additional discount for my troubles.
