As others have wondered - Canzeri and Daniels need to carry the ball at OSU

What is to lose? Maybe we get a spark? Weisman can still start but it is going to be a tough game based on OSU's offense an our secondary.

Bullock has had a lot of carries and maybe needs to go in the slot more.

Give canzeri a chance to get in rhythm and maybe make a few big cutback runs.

And lets see what Daniels has running the ball. His shirt is burned so give him some carries especially if the osu game gets out of hand.

Yes, yes, yes. But it is good for all our sanity if we temper our expectations on this never happening. Any other head coach would use those two guys as they are very talented. But you are dealing with a fool as Iowa's hc. Doubt it will happen.

Many other teams use a stable of running backs, even reggie bush at usc shared a lot of snaps with a couple other runners. I say Weisman needs a break and he will probably be more effective against NW and Purdue, and Nebby.

Those are some teams we can run on especially with the power weisman running,

Give the bone to canzeri and daniels at least 10 times apiece against osu.

Yes Jordan Canzeri of the 2.7 YPC average was the difference today.

He's fast, but guess what, that doesn't matter unless you actually can hit the hole and get through the lines. Not sure if you recognize this or not.

Can someone explain to me why any program would burn a red shirt on a promising player to play him in one meaningless blow out?

I dont blame any rb that ever has or ever will transfer. People cry about SEC coaches pulling schollies.....well wasting a redshirt is right up there.

Do yourself a favor and stop trying to figure it out. I used to try to figure out his foolish football decisions to no avail. Kf does delusional things all the time and pays no consequences for it. Why not do stupid things all the time when you're not held accountable.

This is also Bullock's problem. If he sees the hole, he does a nice job finishing the play. But a lot of time, he doesn't see it.

The strange thing about our stable is that it has 1 typical/classic running back, and that is Daniels. Weisman is a very, very gifted full-back playing RB, and I think he makes for an unorthodox, yet capable starter in a 2 back starting rotation. Bullock is a slot receiver playing RB. Let's call a spade a spade. He's done really well, considering, and I love him as a third-down/passing down back because of his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. He is also a capable blocker on passing plays. Canzeri also appears to be more of an athlete than a pure RB. I was hoping he could be a Freddy Russell reincarnate, but I don't think he has the vision. Then you have Daniels, who looks, in limited touches, like a classic big ten RB. He at least has the frame of one and runs like one.

I think Iowa's back's have, as a group, outperformed. I think Bullock needs to assist the WR corp, and take on a larger responsibility in the passing game. Daniels needs to get touches. I really think he can do good things. And Canzeri needs to become a special teams hero. Surprised that he isn't returning punts.
