Just saw the headline on this so had to check it out. It's based on an Illinois fan's take on why CJ should regret coming to Iowa.

Yeah I agree with this writer. CJ should have just took the PT and went to Illinois, but instead he went for the dumbest move ever by deciding to come learn his position from coaches who have been known for making great TE's. Stupid move indeed

I like how one of his pros is IL has thrown the ball to TE's twice.

I can't fault the kid, mostly because he was right at the time...but oh how the tables have turned.

Although Illinois tight ends have only caught two passes in two games this season,...



I love that he says the tables have turned, but then says Illinois only has two passes to it's tight ends so far this season. So CJ was right after all.

Choosing Iowa because you play very little, for a top 10 team, as a true freshman, with a starting TE who will get draft this year, is a bad move.

That was a joke right? That sounded like a teenage girl who just got dumped. CJ will definitely get the last laugh, he'll contribute this year at some point and be a big part of the offense the next three. He has the tools to get drafted and he's in the right place without a doubt.

Yeah, he made the wrong choice alright. It's not like Iowa has had more tight ends drafted in the past DECADE (7) than Illinois has had since 1953 (6).

Illinois TE's this year: 2 catches COMBINED

Iowa TE's this year: 11 (And Reisner is our leading receiver in both receptions and yards)

Yep, he sure was stupid for "settling" for "Tight End U".

I just talked with the author, and he was being sarcastic. Said making jokes about the program is just about the only way to avoid facing the harsh reality that they are in sorry shape right now. Can't say I blame him there lol.
