This is going to help the Yankees. This is going to get them out of a horrible contract. Am I missing something?

does it 'get them out of his contract', or just get them out of his contract for this and next season? or was his contract up after next season?

when arod opened his mouth a couple nights ago, he sealed his fate.

No. As a Yankee fan, I hope he's done forever.

agreed. remember him in the playoff last year - he got pulled because of his performance, and they caught him trying to get a number from some women in the stands - given them a ball asking for their number - during the game......what a clown.

I thought that this would void the contract. It should why would you want this guy after he sits out for 2 years or a year. Its a choice he made. If it doesnt void the contract Id bet this is added to all contracts from now on.

The yankees shut down last year. Tigers beat them without even trying then sat for 4 days or so then looked like they hadnt played in a month in the world series.

I almost never watch television, and don't have ESPN at home. However, I had a late lunch today, and went to a place that had a dozen televisions tuned to ESPN. All ESPN had was reactions to A Rod by various people who work at ESPN. I mean, there was literally a crawl on the side that told you which ESPN "personality" was going to talk next.

Has the Worldwide Leader really fallen that hard that fast?

ARod signed a contract under lies and the Yankees could say they were giving a contract to a player who was not on drugs. Contract should be deemed void since he signed it not just now because he is being punished.

then today's news is irrelevant. why did they have him set to play today, if what you say is true?

They were talking about this on the MLB station. That it would go to court but that they should be able to get out of it. I think as in anything like this you let things play out a bit before you decide what way to go. Look at what the Yankees have said today and what Arod said about different groups being happy with this.

my response meant that the yankees have known of arod's involvement with the clinic for some time. today's announcement didn't change that, or wasn't any new revelation. i think if they could easily void a contract due to peds, they'd have moved forward with it, suspension or not.

Why would he not go out and play if he is able too by MLB. TOO much money to walk away. Anyone that says he should walk away is high.
