How nice would it be to have Armstead or Gibbs. I wonder if Gibbs is kicking himself for sitting on the bench not playing at all when he could be pulling in 30 minutes a game with us. I think both would have really been able to help us. I saw the highlights a couple weeks ago when Oregon upset Washington when Armstead went for 20 pts. Fast lefty that could get to the paint. He would have been perfect to drive and kick it for the 3.

The little I saw of him online I'm not sure Armstead is the type of player to drive just to kick it out to the perimeter.
Take it to the hole, baby ...
But that's not Lickball. Suspect Armstead realized that.

What do you mean you can't drive an finish with "Lickball"? The problem is that we don't have a player right now who can drive and finish. I like Payne, but he hasn't show the ability to finish off the drive yet. When Kelly was playing the point the last part of the season, he certainly drove and finished, and drove and pulled up for the shot, as he had the ability to do so.

I think Lick ball is about driving it to the hole first, kicking it out second. When we had Jake Kelly, that is what he did. The problem is we do not have anyone who can take it to the hole.
