Arizona on TV Friday night

I just noticed that Arizona hosts Toledo tomorrow @ 7pm on ESPN.

Saw that, too and will most definitely be watching. (I bet KF and crew will be as well.) Actually, I think AZ travels to Toledo.

Not looked into 2010 Toledo, at all, but have seen them here / there on the 4-letter Thursday games over the past few seasons. Seem to recall they are a decent / above average mid-major with a high-paced offense. Not that Iowa will run anything similar to Toledo's offense but want to see how AZ's defense (which is very suspect after high turnover) handles them.

I just can't see an Iowa loss -- Hawk's offense should be able to really stretch AZ's defense. If the defense is as good as advertised, even tho it's experienced and improved, AZ's offense should not be able to get much going.

AZ game is the scariest one on our schedule, IMO, more so because of the location and time of day, rather than the Wildcats

I wonder if Arizona is going to be in the kind of situation Penn State was last year. Penn State played Akron, Syracuse, and Temple before they played Iowa. Not exactly a tough slate, and not a good way to get a gauge on the team. I'm not sure who AZ's second game is against, but I'm pretty sure it's not against a BCS team.

I for one think we have a staff that doesn't make the same mistake twice. Look at how Kirk and company have prepared for balls since a bad outing...look how they handle everything. They learned some valuable lessons the last time they went West...I look for the hawks to win big.

Arizona's first two games are against Toledo and the Citadel.

I like Iowa's chances.
