Are you going to the game?

Man, I contacted my nephew whose in laws have 50 yard tickets about 20 rows up but they sold them. We talked about buying tickets but his boss wanted 100 for nose bleed end zone tickets. So we are not going.

BUT I AM STOKED

Taking my 14 year old grandson to his first game. Been a few years since been down myself. My daughter set us up with freebies from a RR that does a lot of business with REG in Ames where she works. Was thinking not real interested in sucky seats and gonna have to upgrade them once we get there, but won't be necessary. Section 129 row 18. They came through pretty well!

I'll be watching from my living room. A toe amputation earlier this year still has me in a boot and I can't put any weight on that foot. If I had my way I'd go to the Coe-Central game in CR (and go to Sykora's Bakery after!).
Hope you’re healing well

Not sure if you’ve ever been to Kinnick before but there are no bad views. $100 is a fucking bargain. They’re $350+ on stubhub.

You could have resold those tickets on stubhub for 5 times that

Yeah, my nephew is spoiled though. His normal tickets are 17 rows up on the 50 behind the Hawk bench.

I have been to Kinnick more times than I can remember. I was a knot hole gang member.

I remember going to a state title football game at kinnick.

But, alas, it is a 4 1/2 hour drive and I am reffing basketball on Sunday, so it would have been a long day.

I agree 1000%......especially in this state.......who the heck schedules a wedding on an Iowa game day? Especially if that said family knows xyz guest is a diehard Hawkeye fan.
I had my wedding during the Iowa/Duke NCAA tourney years back, during the reception my entire side of the family was camped in the bar. I guess I'm not very thoughtful. Good news is I'm divorced now and don't have the fight every year during our anniversary about watching the games. But no that's not the reason for the divorce, I think.......
