Are Wirfs, Jackson, Epenesa NFL Ready?

We also had Gervase to patrol center field. His absence may be a reason why our INT's are down.

I like Merriweather and would like to see him back on the field while realizing there is a big difference in assignments for the two safety positions. Stone is going to produce no matter where you put him. Koerner may have earned his "union card" with his play in the Iowa State game and the coaches are keeping him in there.

Losing Brandon Snyder was a clear addition by subtraction. He was a Kirk favorite, had the union card, and you know he would have been out there last year. That would have affected both Hooker and Stone.
I thought yesterday was Koerner’s worst game. He played really well at Michigan.

I’m intrigued by Merriweather as a future playmaker on defense for sure. I’m just not sure moving Stone makes sense at this venture.

I don't think that they are ready for a first round draft status. But they will get drafted. 2nd round. One more year would be great for Iowa. But that's a lot of money to risk.

AJE - Yes
Wirfs -Yes
Jackson -No

^^^^^This is where I am at. AJE may have slid from the early 1st round to the late 1st. He has been far more disruptive than people think. Wirfs hasn’t hurt his draft stock at all this season.

Jackson is the wildcard in all this. Pass protection has been an issue since he stepped onto the field. Imo, he needs to come back, but he will likely be a high enough pick that he is gone and he should go.
