Are we getting too amped?

The most talented returning roster since the original Roy Marble was at Iowa. Top 10 preseason. Deep bench. Consensus favorite Wooden Award candidate. Entertaining coach who loves to run and gun and go ape shit on the refs.

Too amped? Hell no!!!!!!
 
If not this season, when? Yes, there have been disappointments before. Personally, I thought the '13-'14 and '14-'15 teams were going to be really good, but the former flamed out down the stretch and the latter ran into Gonzaga in the second round of the NCAA's, but also lost too many home games. When have we ever had the consensus NPOY returning (assuming he does)? When have we not only had all of our starters return, but also a former starter who is one of the best to ever play his position at Iowa? I'm going to assume that this is going to be a great season, until it isn't.
