Are we asking too much?

Are we asking to much from the coaches to get the team ready to play every week like today. Its not like Ferentz has to teach science or math or even PE. Today shows it can be done.

and why it's so frustrating because this result today should have happened to everyone on it's schedule..

Yeah, that's what bothers me, too. Its great to see the guys having fun for once, but painful to think they've been held back from playing to their potential all year.

This is the frustration in a nutshell. What makes today different? Does it really take a bad loss or the fan base nearly losing its collective mind for things to look like people expected? It's perplexing.

The game plan is much different (going downfield a bit and working the pass off of the run), which is fantastic, but it's more than that. The Hawks are playing with an edge today. Granted, it's Northwestern and I believe they're much weaker up front than a couple of teams we've played and a few more that we will play, but still. The Hawks are beating them up and controlling the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. That was non-existent two weeks ago.
