Must be the labor day weekend as I am sure school is in session, I would hope. I never really did like August college football unless it was one of only a couple of made for tv matchups.

Well, for yesterday at least, the student section was full. Laura smokin' hot said that student tickets sold out which has to be the first time in quite a while that's happened.

Lived in SF for 5 years and Labor Day weekend was the ONLY weekend of the year when you were absolutely, 100% guaranteed a nice weather weekend to make outdoor plans. Not sure it's that way in Palo Alto, but trj is correct...there are a lot of other interesting outdoor things to do in the Bay Area on a nice weekend.
Was at the Iowa game last night and very impressed with the Iowa student section: full and loud! No difference between last night and a BTen night game that way. I had no idea it was a sell-out and was pleasantly surprised. Barta should make it a priority to get Iowa's first games (usually vs. lower tier teams) be at night, if this is any indication.

yes true, living in Iowa i forget we only have corn growing as an outdoor activity. i have been around Seattle the last few days and for a few more and there is so much sight seeing to do here along with grandkids.

They sold out student tickets. I know that is not the whole story, but, remember, a lot of them miss a game because they are studying in the library.
