AP halftime report on college football

AP NCAA football beat writer takes a look at the season at the midway point. Some highlights:

- Sees the Iowa games with MSU and Ohio State as major matchups helping to set the course for the rest of the NCAA season. Doesn't see Iowa factoring into BCS bowls at all. (If it comes to it, says Sugar would take TCU over Iowa.)
- Brewster halfway out the door at Minny; predicts school will pull the trigger before end of the season to begin the search process.
- RichRod "not quite in the clear" at BigBlue.
- Zook's seat may be cooling a bit.

So he thinks that Iowa will play a part in determining the NT, but doesn't expect them to win those games?
I have to agree about Brewster and Zook. Illinois isn't exactly lighting the world on fire, but they've made some definite progress.
