AOL Fanhouse: Iowa #2

These things are often done on the fly. Evidence here is that he ranks IOWA #2 (ahead of Ohio St) yet says Ohio St's toughest game is at Miami. ???

BEAUTIFUL! Exactly the way you want to see your team every year. This team definately has the horses and like every year its just a matter of playing each game indidvidually one at a time and avoiding any major injuries. However we may have enough depth to cover some injuries if needed.

I will take Iowa against Boise for the NC.

However, it would be the lowest rated NC game in recent history and might really signal the demise of the BCS.

That being said, with the proximity to Boise and all the Iowan's in AZ, it would be an epic on-sight experience.

We'll play them in Boise and turn that crap field yellow.:)

I noticed that too. Pretty ignorant. Boise St. above Iowa??? Iowa not ranked #1??? Totally ignorant.

Shouldn't this be merged with the thread about this that was started last week?
Here's my take--if Boise State is #1 after the national title game and Iowa is #2, with Bama #3 and Texas #4, then the most likely scenario was that Boise State, Alabama or Texas, and Iowa all went undefeated and Iowa was left out of the NCG. Boise State would then beat Bama/Texas to be #1, Iowa would win the Rose Bowl to be undefeated and #2 and the NCG loser would be #3 or #4. I don't think Iowa has enough national respect to lose the national title game and stay ahead of Bama or Texas, but I think an undefeated Iowa team would end the year ranked ahead of a one-loss NCG loser.
