Anyone watching??

If anyone had any doubts about Stirtz (and I don't know why you would) they sure as hell can't have any after that game. 27 pts on 8-10 from the field.... Holy smokes. And he did that while sitting for a stretch in the 2nd half while in foul trouble. That last long 3 at the end was just icing on the cake of a hell of a game for the guy.

What’s really positive to see was the resilience at the end and toughness to hang on. Frans teams consistently would get a solid lead only watch the game go the other way. Consistent droughts were something we rarely would overcome.

Settles has said multiple times he'll have a long NBA career and I believe him way more than any message board dork I've ever come across (including myself).

The long 3 dagger was epic. I don't think it was well received by UCLA, but whatever.
Shot clock was running out, did they expect Iowa to just let it expire and turn the ball over as a favor? That was the lowest possible percentage shot on the court without a blindfold.

Stirtz was being a nice guy chucking it up from there and it happened to go in.

Fvck 'em.

Exactly Iowa isn't obligated to give em a TO. I never heard anything about the UCLA folks being bent about it though. But Fm if they are

I think there was allegedly some jawing from the UCLA players or their bench, but low key. Bottom line is be better. But yes, he was out in Chris Kingsbury territory so it's whatever. Game was academic anyway. Get over it. Not a lot different when you have a break away dunk at the end of the game in my opinion. We preach players to play the full 60 minutes. Ben's got them doing that I it's fun to watch.

Hawks +6 up to #19 in latest AP.

I know, polls are bogus for the most part but people do look at them.

FWIW, I have watched Michigan a few times and holy smokes, they're ballers.
Seemed like a 'down' game for them vs USC recently since they "failed" to reach 100 points...yet....they clipped USC by 30...96-66.

Michigan is scary!!!

Michigan is scary!!!
You know what else is scary...the *height* that some of these teams possess.

Illinois...two towers at 7' 2" and 7' 1"
Michigan has Mara at 7' 3" and Kordel at 7' 2"
Debby has a 7' 2" player
Ducks have a 7' center
USC has Dynes at 7' 5"
Purdue...another timber at 7' 4"
Ohio State....7' 1' and 7'

There's more but I'll stop there...yikes!
