Anyone re-watch the game?

Thanks for posting that recap....I would like to see a replay....I was at game, but I think I discovered the worst seat location in Kinnick (at least for this game)! 101, row 11, seat 4 yuck.

Watched a lot of the replay.

Offensive Line and DL played like the 2002 versions. It was absolutely dominating performance. CB's and safeties were really active in the pass D. A lot more swarming than in previous weeks.

Jake stayed on his progressions a little longer and bounced from one vert progression to another rather than checking down. Jake also looked a LOT healthier...was able to run normally and move around better.

Wide receivers and QB looked really in sync as well...amazing timing will make up for a less than powerful arm, and Jake finally trusted his receivers to be in the right spot. I disagree with the story posted...the throw to Smith was not his best throw, not even close. The best ball of the day was the throw out of the endzone to Vandeberg...with a guy ready to crush him against the goalpost, he delivered a perfectly thrown bomb...loong throw, too. probably 50 yards in the air. Second bess throw was to KMM over the middle in between about 4 defenders. A throw like that takes trust.

That was good stuff. Pretty much all positives but for this: <On Riley McCarron’s first punt return: Kevonte Martin-Manley needs to start returning punts again.>

My reply: Why was he ever taken off punt return duties?

I did rewatch. Gaul played studly.

Tommy Gaul is playing his way into an opportunity on Sundays.
He is really getting after it, since getting a chance.

Anyone know if the Buckeye/Husker network (aka the BTN) has a time when it\
might show IOWA beat down of NW ???

I had the privledge of meeting those guys up in Maryland at Joe's Crab shack. they took a seat at the bar on the end and we were on the end around the corner.

On the touchdown run by Wadley at the end of the game, the safety tackles every other running back on the roster at the 6 yard line. The safety took a bad angle and Wadley just beat him to the corner with speed. We don't get to see that very often.

It was enjoyable.

he's the only one who could have gone in untouched. With Weisman it's hard to say if he tackles him.

I watched the game yesterday and really enjoyed it, of course. What stood out to me, and I usually would not say this, was the commentary by Chuck Long on Jake Ruddock's play. It was detailed, fair and balanced, and consistent throughout the game. Great stuff! I wish Chuck was coaching Jake.

Whoa, whoa whoa.

You're in Maryland, and you go to Joe's fking Crab Shack? Are you kidding me?

That's like being in Iowa and rustling up a steak at the Golden Corral.
