Anyone know the latest on Rodney Coe?

Is he coming back to Iowa next year? I wonder if they will move him to D End or D Tackle or something, I've heard he is pretty huge.

Coe needs to earn his Associate degree before he can come back to Iowa. that will be 2013 if he returns. Lots of talk about his size and changing positions. We will have to wait and see what actually happens but I believe he stayed at RB this past Fall.

I talked to one of his coaches last week, and it sounds like he's still adamant about staying at RB. He's down to about 260 according to the coach I talked to, and said he's a legit D1 Running Back. Can move and change direction great for a bigger back. That's all I know at this point.

Next time you talk to one of his coaches get some useful info like is he planning on coming back to iowa still.

RB to Dline... Any bears fans on here ? Henry Melton!

I'm not sure how much you know about Melton, but he did play DT his last 2 years at Texas. Considering we are talking about that same transition in college, you may know that, so this has nothing to do with you. I'm just sick of announcers making it seem like the Bears converted Melton to DT, like it's some big deal. They drafted him to play DT! Why does his early college career even matter anymore? It's like when you hear college announcers say "He played QB in high school!" when a WR gets a reverse that he has the option of throwing on. No duh, ya moran! HS football often consists of the best player getting as many touches as he can (QB, KR, PR, P, K, etc.), it doesn't mean he's Joe Montana because one of the positions he played was QB.

I'm fine hearing about a guy, McNutt let's say, if he was RECRUITED to PLAY a specific HS position. McNutt was brought in to play QB, you can talk about him because he had to start playing a position that was completely different from his old one.

Just a common thought I have. Again, nothing to do with you.

Sorry, yes, his plan is to come back to Iowa at this point, but he is still getting looks from other big schools. Tough to say what his choice will be since he has another year to make it.

Talented RB working hard to get back to Iowa... gained weight... rumors of position change... gotta be too big to play RB now... sounds familiar, but I just can't place it!?!
