I agree, any theam that has an inside post presence and NM is in trouble. A PF/C that can block shots that has some type of offensive game and NM will be done. Put your best defender on Hobson, make him use his right hand , make Gary and Martinez beat you from the perimiter.

UNM will be dangerous in The Dance for these reasons:

1. Their assist to turnover ratio is in the top 30 in the country.
2. They get to the FT line a lot, which means they are quick, they penetrate, and the opponents will be more prone to foul trouble.
3. They outrebound their opponents.
4. They have 4 players who can score 20 in any game. Those 4 all have scoring averages above 10.
5. They mix up their defenses well, and will use the press in certain situations, and they use a lot of creativity in mixing defenses during play sequences.
6. Alford and Neal are very good coaches.

They have a good chance to get to the Sweet 16, but a 1-1 is more likely.

Amazing game. I don't know what Izzo has on Big 10 refs but it's worth 6-8 points for Sparty each game. Not sure how Green doesn't get a technical for the elbow to the head he threw going for the loose ball against Iverson. Minnesota's guards seemed to get mugged each time on the perimeter in OT.

Agreed...I don't know how they go to the video to see if any punches were thrown and completely let that elbow slide.
