Anyone else like what they saw on the one carry that Bullock got?

I know it was only one carry but having a back that is quick to the hole makes a huge difference. Would may Coker more effective also

I saw it (took it to the goaline from the 6), liked it, and would like to see him in for a series to spell Coker next week.

Yeah, I immediately noticed he was quicker to the hole. Need it badly...I don't know what's wrong with Coker but he didn't seem this slow last year.

Hopefully Iowa can get up early next week so he can get some more time.

What excites me about him is that if the coaches saw enough of him to move him to WR that quickly, you would think he has good hands.

Iowa could really use that kind of ability coming out of the backfield.

I think it is them buying into the zone blocking scheme where the coaches try to get them to show patience and wait for holes to develop. The same thing happened with AY and his dancing habit he picked up later in his career.

I just like the idea of someone else getting a chance in there. If Coker goes down we will have little to no experience in that backfield.

I've been saying it since July: Bullock is the real deal. He's a solid talent and brings a lot to the table. He was an underrated recruit because he missed almost his entire junior year to a collar bone break, but he is a very good athlete who will do really good things as a Hawkeye.

It is just good to see that the coaches are pulling guys when they aren't executing. Herman got yanked as well after the false start.

I'd like to see him used in a Sproles type of role. Get a few carries and he should be able to be used in the passing game as well since they had him at WR for a bit.

I didnt think Derby had a good game, he did have a nice catch but he struggled blocking. I think Herman is by far our best tight end right now

They need to give a 2nd back some carries, and Bullock might be the guy. 5 carries a game would be great.

It seems to me that Coker is trying to be too shifty. He just needs to follow his blockers and plow through holes instead of trying to tiptoe through the tulips. He has a solid frame and needs to use that to his advantage.

I think KF kind of eluded to Coker being dinged and not practicing that much in camp?
IMO its very obvious that Bullock needs to play more and use his pass catching abilities. I have to think that something is bothering Coker because he played much better than this in the past. Start him but limit his carries as he is healing.
The MO of this team seems t be more pass first and run second so use it whil the RBs are healing and learning. Funny thing is today's performance should open the box up a little bit if KF and Co. don't fall back in their shell.

It's getting to the point of being a little frustrating watching Coker not plant a foot, make a cut and get North and South. I'm to the point of thinking he needs to run more like a FB...or just make him a FB, as Gimm and Myers have been less than inspiring, though I thought Gimm was better today than any FB has been all season. Whenever Coker goes to make a cut he chops his feet so much it seems he loses all momentum and can't get going again. I thought the 1 carry Bullock got he looked shockingly quicker and more elusive. He needs more carries, and maybe Coker can run some plays at FB.

Derby also had a marginal day, at best. He made a couple catches, but also repeatedly missed blocks that resulted in losses or no gains. TE was supposed to be a strength, and it's looking more and more like a push, if not even a weakness.

Need to see more of Bullock and White possibly Canzeri. The more I see of coker the more he looks like a FB, kind like a Cervantes, I even thought the other Fb who is sitting out now due to heat issues had shown more suddeness. Not trying to be overly negative here, but I think this OL has mauled the DL on many occasions and Coker has either been to slow or not had enoigh vision to get to and through the hole.
